From Schools out to Back to School

Hey everyone! I can't believe that I didn't blog all summer. What am I saying, yes I can. I hated blogging. The reason is that it would take forrrevvveeerrrrrr. You see we were still living in 1998 and still were trying to function on dial up. It took me like 2 hours to make each post that I made. I loved the idea about sharing our life up here but who has that kind of time? I know that I don't. But the good news is that we have finally caught up and got cable. Can I just say...WOW! What have we been doing? I don't know how we ever survived without it. The only thing is that we are on the computer way more now. But maybe in retrospect not so much because everything just took so much longer before we are probably on the same amount of time but just can look up like 1000 time more stuff. It's been great.

So now for an update. We had a really fun summer. Way too short of course. I really wasn't ready for the kids to go back to school but we are getting into the routine of it and its going good. I didn't work with the kids on school work as much as I should have but we had lots of fun as our excuses so it was okay at the time. We are just paying for it now that they are back. The kids really seem to love their teachers, and are adjusting well. Even Owen started Pre-School. He is so cute getting on the bus everyday. He just loves feeling like a big boy.

He's not scared...he just is looking at his bus and won't pay attention. lol

We had a great time in Arizona. We got to spend time over the 4th of July at Ryan's parents cabin in Pinetop and had a blast there. Unfortunately Ryan was really busy at work at the time and couldn't get off to come with us. We missed him there with us but made the best of it. After the cabin we spent the rest of the time with my family and had a great time catching up. I spent my 30th birthday down there. UGH. My mom threw me a surprise b-day party to soften the blow. A lot of my family was able to make it and it was so fun to see everyone. My cousins Ken and Karen hosted it for me, and everyone had a great time visiting while the kids swam.

We got to do some camping too. We went to Tony Grove in Logan Canyon twice. Our neighbor's dad gave us a really fun paddle boat and we took it out on the lake. All the boys caught their first fish. So much fun! Porter freaked out, it was hilarious.

Ryan and our neighbor in our paddle boat...don't they look cute, ahhhh

My garden was awesome!!! I had tons of tomatoes and peppers and made spaghetti sauce and salsa. We had tons of corn and carrots, beans, potatoes (I'm still digging those out), pumpkins, cantaloupe...it was great. Ryan took the best care of it while I was in Arizona. The kids had a blast picking weeds and harvesting. I can't wait to do it all over again. Tons of work but soooo worth it.

Anyway I guess that is enough for now (I hope I didn't bore everyone too much). Hopefully I can stay more on top of things and you will hear from me again soon!! Love to all.

I want the cute white picke fence around my gareden in my back yard. Maybe I would be a better gardener if I did that or maybe if I wasn't pregant and puking through the summer that could help too. I loved the recap of summer. It sounds like you had a ton of fun. Where do I sign up for the bus to pick Camden for preschool-I think I need to move your way.
