Snow Day

What does it take to get a snow day around here? 6 inches of snow?? NO! 12 inches of snow?? NO WAY!! 20 inches of snow?? NOT A CHANCE!

Nope, up here they don't call a snow day for anything! If you can't get a snow day for 20 inches of snow...I just don't know what it would take.

So this is what we had yesterday. On Sunday almost all the snow had melted, I could see grass. It was beautiful. I could smell spring in the air! I had no idea what was in store.

We woke up to 14 inches on the
ground and had to dig our cars out...literally. It was such a mess. And to make things even funner my mom was making her way up here from Provo, in the snow. I called her and told her to be careful and then went out to find a place for all of the snow.

We are very lucky and have the best neighbors ever who let us borrow their snow blower...twice. With that it isn't too bad moving the snow but when you have to whip out the shovel it is a work out!!

Apparently, winter isn't done with us yet. I was so looking forward to getting out in my garden and tilling up the soil. I guess I will have to wait a little while until it all melts again. I can't wait until I can just open up the windows and let the fresh air in the house. To send the boys outside with out having to layer them up until they look like the kid from Christmas story just to have them tell me that now they have to go pee.

Don't get me wrong. I can appreciate winter, even enjoy it. I really love the way snow looks when it falling. When the trees are all weighed down with snow. Letting the kids go sledding or otherwise play in the snow. I love that it is a season that I never had as a kid.

All this being said, I think it is time for winter to bid its adieu and get the #$%*!@ out of here!
